The Ceremonial Shamanic Drum Circle honors the sacredness and radiance within each of us. These meditative, shamanic drum circles are held at the beautiful Sky Pond Retreat in Apex, NC and are designed to deepen our connection to the world around us, to ourselves, and to one another via various rounds of rhythmic drumming, including unity-building, inner transformation, and healing. Each round of drumming begins with a unique ceremony through which we may connect deeper within ourselves and to our experience. We draw on themes tied to the flow of the seasons, the moons, the elements. These circles create a profound vortex of energy that allow us to shift blockages within us, to break down barriers, to surrender our fears, to reclaim our power, to remember who we are as sacred beings, and to support positive manifestation in our lives. They feature a powerful combination of shamanic techniques, ceremony, meditation, reiki, and sound healing, and act as portals of transformation, as well as a source of empowerment, community, deep growth and healing.
Ceremonial resins and herbs such as organic sage, palo santo, frankincense, and myrrh, are burned for their powerfully purifying properties. Group sharing is encouraged, but not required. You do not need to have any musical experience to participate.
*Drums are provided, though if you have a shamanic-style frame drum I recommend bringing your own.
*These drum circles will be held outdoors if possible, so please come in weather appropriate clothing.

These shamanic drum circle events are led by Sarah Myles of Alewah Sound. Sarah is an ICRT-certified Reiki Master, ICRT-certified Karuna Reiki Master, certified Sound Healer through the Center of Light Institute, as well as a lifelong songwriter and musician. She practices Reiki and Sound healing sessions for clients at Alewah Sound and is an ongoing student of advanced sound techniques and shamanic studies. Her passion is in keeping energy fields flowing so clients may come into full alignment with their Highest Selves and expanded consciousness and live more peaceful, passionate, and fulfilled lives.
