About Me
I am so blessed and grateful for the journey I’ve walked on Earth. We all have a story, and mine is no different from anyone else’s in that respect. I faced various challenges throughout childhood that ultimately propelled me into the healing field and forced to me find my path at a young age. This condensed period of time was so painful at times that I wasn’t sure I would make it through, though this speaks to the power within us. We have a strength that we often don’t even know that we have. All is temporary, transient. This too shall pass.
Along my journey I have come to appreciate that our hardships are our greatest teachers. They are diamonds in the rough. We can choose to see them as flawed, damaged, undesirable aspects of ourselves. We can choose to feel powerless and defined by them. Or we can choose to partner with them, to hold tight to their hand amidst the rocky road and allow them to shape and transform us with whatever guidance they came here to teach. A mentor, a guru, would not be as worthy of our awe and respect if they did not kick our butt and push us to our greatest potential. This approach has made such a difference in my life. Now I am able to hunker down, brace myself, and welcome the evolution and strength that difficulty brings with open arms.
My healing journey has been filled with such wonderful teachers. I feel so grateful and blessed whenever I reflect back on how I got to where I am. I was writing a fantasy novel when I stumbled upon Reiki and was intrigued by the idea of channeling divine energy through one’s hands and thought this concept could fit somewhere in my story. I have always resonated with the wisdom of the East, so the fact that Reiki heralded from Japan was attractive to me. I was determined to find the best Reiki teacher I could find, so I went through the ICRT to receive my training. Upon receiving my level 1 and level 2 training in 2016, I fell instantly in love with this healing modality and began practicing Reiki in my everyday life and with clients. I continued my training with my wonderful teacher that same year to become a Reiki Master as well as a Karuna Reiki Master, feeling all the while the beautiful flow and healing touch of Reiki transform me as it flowed through my body, mind, and soul. Ironically, Reiki did become part of my story, just not in the way I had originally intended.
I joined a healing circle called Stars Healing Circle for some time, which taught me the beauty of working in collaboration with other healers. I appreciated their mentorship as well, as they were older than I and had so much wisdom to share. I went on to study dowsing with one of them, a beautiful member of the Lumbee tribe from whom I learned much about clearing away nonbeneficial energy forms by infusing with Light, in a process very similar to Reiki, and this quickly became an avid focus of mine - helping humanity and the Earth alchemize density by merging with the infinite Light of all creation. It is simply a shift in perception. We are radiant and whole already at our core. When we come into resonance with this knowingness and this inner Light we become the hope, evolution and transcendence that we seek. This inherently restores balance to the body, mind, and soul, bringing inner clarity, jubilation, and deep peace. I have a passion for helping people connect to their own inner Light, their Highest Selves, and the oneness and Light of all creation.
I have also worked with clients whose souls are in the process of transitioning to the great world of Spirit. It was an unintentional part of my path that Spirit handed to me, though I accepted it unconditionally and have found such joy when I am asked to participate in this process. What an honor to assist in whatever way I am able in the transitioning of a Soul into the Great Beyond.
I took a big step forward in my own personal healing journey after the birth of my second daughter in 2021. After sacrificing personal power many times over, including during the birth of my first daughter, I was determined to do things on my own terms. With the help of a wonderful doula and incredibly loving and supportive birth team, I was able to have an all-natural birth at a birth center here in NC. I gained so much more than just the confidence of seeing something through that I had aspired to. I gained a tremendous, unshakable respect for my body. I realized just how much power the body has on its own, the depth that lingers beneath the surface of our conscious understanding. I feel in many ways, just as we know much about the surface of the moon than the ocean, we are just beginning to scratch the surface of the vast intelligence contained within our bodies, our human vessels that tie us to this miraculous Earth. I have incorporated this love and understanding of the body into my sessions, knowing full well that the body has its own incredible healing power, and that given the ability, it has the potential to heal itself on its own.
Soon after my daughter’s birth I received my certification in Sound Healing to complement my Reiki Master certification, something Spirit had been pushing me to pursue for some time, though the time up until then had not been right. Music has been in my life my entire life. I have been writing songs since I was a little girl, and though formally trained in piano, violin, and guitar, I never had much love for or dedication to technical music training. Something about sound has always made sense to me, and I have always had an ability to play by ear and write my own music. After falling in love with the energy medicine world of Reiki, I knew I wanted to incorporate sound healing into my practice as well, and I knew I wanted to study with someone who had more to offer me than the study of music, as my love of finding my own sounds and doing music my own way is very strong. When I decided to study with the Center of Light Institute of Sound Healing and Shamanic Studies, I did not realize how much breadth I would be adding to my life and my practice. It was not only a study in sound healing, but a study in consciousness itself. The beauty of my teachers’ work is something I have sought to carry over into my own sessions as well. I further my training in more advanced sound techniques whenever this option becomes available, and along with Spirit as my teacher and guide, my path is a steady spiral, radiating out into the world. As I work with the energies of Reiki, Sound, and the elements of the universe, they continue to inspire and uplift my work and creativity in all areas of my life.
In the summer of 2022, I challenged myself to gain a higher clarity, understanding and partnership with Mother Earth. What I found is a new love of gardening. I am such a maternal sort of woman. I love being a mom. I love taking care of things, and this absolutely carries over to every client I’ve ever worked with. This has carried over to my plants as well, all of which I started from seed. It has been so miraculous to watch the elements of nature work their magic, coaxing a tiny seed into lush green. I am able to work in harmony with the soil and beneficial microorganisms that fill it, carefully adding the minerals and nutrients that the plants ideally need and deserve, translating this into nourishing meals for my family. This has become a new form of grounding for me, and working with the elements has absolutely made me a better energy worker. I carry this love over into my sessions, which I have designed in a way that combines my greatest skills and talents. My sessions are wonderful fusion of Reiki and Sound and my pursuit to work side by side with Mother Earth guides the sounds and methods I use at a particular time. I am so grateful to work so closely with these magical energies. I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love.
